Do I need help?

  • Going without food or electric
  • Regularly missing bill payments
  • Borrowing money to pay off other debts
  • Experiencing anxiety or stress over finances
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you likely need help.

If you accept our help, then we basically step into the gap between you and your creditors, negotiating repayment agreements on your behalf, or trying to get debts written off or reduced if circumstances make that the only alternative.

Part of what we do to help you regain control of your finances is to produce a financial statement (budget) of your income and expenditure. If you would like to do this to see where you stand financially each month, we can help you formulate your financial statement.

No! Anyone who requests advice from Frontline will receive it absolutely free of charge.

We will never take away your freedom to make decisions and will never do anything against your wishes. However we hope that as our client you will accept our advice and together we can seek to resolve your problems.

This mostly depends on how committed you are to getting out of debt. We do need you to provide information about your finances so we can give you the right advice. Creditors nearly always accept the payment arrangements we offer. It is then down to you to keep to those arrangements until your debts are paid. If your circumstances change we can review the payment arrangements.

Our mission is to provide face to face help. This is supplemented with other types of support, but we do need to be able to see you face to face. There are other free debt advice agencies that provide face to face help that maybe nearer to you, such as Community Money Advice , Christians Against Poverty and Citizens Advice. If you want free help over the phone or via the internet then we would recommend Citizens Advice, Stepchange, National Debtline and Payplan.

We normally see people at our offices, but if for any reason you can’t get to the local office, please contact them to see if they can visit you at home.

Completely! To ensure you get the best advice, elements of your case maybe discussed within the Frontline office, with supervisors or specialists. Anonymised information from your case may also be used for training or publicity purposes.

Many of the items on the following list you may only have on your phone. You do not need to print them out, just bring your phone or email them to your adviser ahead of the appointment.

  • Letters for each debt
  • Any recent bills
  • Proof of all your income (e.g. recent payslip, benefit award letter, last tax return/accounts if self employed)
  • Statements covering last 3 months for each bank account you use.

Many of our clients do not have all of the above information to hand, please just come to your appointment with whatever you can find, we won’t judge you.
